Title: | Hybridoma and monoclonal antibody specific for human stem cell factor receptor and methods of use of the monoclonal antibody for detection of stem cell factor receptors | Inventors: | Broudy, Virginia C.; Seattle, WA, USA
Lin, Nancy; Seattle, WA, USA | Summary: | This invention introduces monoclonal antibodies against stem cell factor receptors, methods and uses thereof. Described herein are monoclonal antibodies which are specific for a cell receptor which itself is specific for human stem cell factor (hSCF) and which may be utilized for the detection of hSCF receptors. Further disclosed are compositions containing such monoclonal antibodies and uses of the monoclonal antibodies in assays for the detection of hSCF receptors in large heterogeneous stem cell populations. Hybridoma properties, amino acid sequences and culturing conditions are provided. Therapeutic applications include the use of such antibodies for the purification of hematopoietic cells and in the treatment of leukemia and solid tumors. | Abstract: | The present invention relates to monoclonal antibodies specific for a cell receptor specific for human stem cell factor (hSCF) as well as compositions containing such monoclonal antibodies and uses of such monoclonal antibodies in assays for detection of stem cell factor receptors in stem cell populations. | US Patent Website: | Click Here for Full Text of Patent | Title Number: | US5489516 | Application Number: | US1993000011078 | Date Filed: | 29/01/1993 | Date Published: | 06/02/1996 | Assignee: | Board of Regents of the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA |
