Summary:Described herein is a composition comprised of interleukin-6 receptors, methods and uses thereof. The invention relates to a platelet-increasing preparation composed of an effective amount of an interleukin-6 receptor and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, preferably also with an ingredient selected from a stem cell factor as well as interleukin-3 and thrombopoietin. Therapeutic applications as a platelet-increasing agent include the treatment of cancer by combined chemical and radiation therapy.
Abstract:A platelet-increasing preparation which comprises an effective amount of an interleukin-6 receptor and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. Preferably the preparation further comprises interleukin-6 and an ingredient selected from a stem cell factor, interleukin-3 and thrombopoietin.
