Summary:Described herein are methods of radioimmunotherapy for lymphoma via the administration of a radioactively labeled anti-CD20 antibody. The invention relates specifically to the treatment of lymphoma with a B cell-specific antibody according to a process by which a patient receives both unlabeled antibodies and antibodies labeled with a radioisotope. Claims of the invention include therapeutic advantages by which this method elicits tumor responses which can be obtained in radiometric dosages and which do not require hematopoietic stem cell replacement as an adjuvant therapy.
Abstract:Methods for the treatment of lymphoma by administration of a B cell-specific antibody are described. The invention encompasses providing to a patient both unlabeled antibodies and antibodies labeled with a radioisotope. A principal advantage of the method is that tumor responses can be obtained in a radiometric dose range that does not require hematopoietic stem cell replacement as an adjunct therapy.
