Title:Human jagged polypeptide, encoding nucleic acids and methods of use
Inventors:Li, Linheng; Seattle, WA, USA
Summary:Described herein is a novel JAGGED peptide and methods of its use in inhibiting the differentiation of progenitor cells and in the maintenance of such cells in an undifferentiated state. The invention relates to an isolated JAGGED peptide having no more than 40 amino acids, specific sequences of which are provided. Further disclosed are methods by which an Alagille Syndrome disease-associated mutation linked to a JAGGED locus may be detected.
