Suggs, Sidney V.; Newbury Park, CA, USA
Martin, Francis H.; Thousand Oaks, CA, USA
Summary:Described herein are methods of enhancing the efficiency of transfer of a polynucleotide into a target mammalian cell in vitro, via a process of exposing the cell that expresses a stem cell factor receptor to a stem cell factor, and introducing a polynucleotide into the cell in vitro. Therapeutic applications in the treatment of blood disorders are included. This invention represents a continuation of other applications filed by the same assignee and inventors.
Abstract:Novel stem cell factors, oligonucleotides encoding the same, and methods of production, are disclosed. Pharmaceutical compositions and methods of treating disorders involving blood cells are also disclosed.
