Fully disclosed are methods of obtaining a totipotent porcine nuclear donor cell from a cell culture, and forming a cybrid by translocating the totipotent porcine nuclear donor cell or nucleus into an enucleated porcine oocyte. Also included are methods by which, prior to enucleation, the oocyte has been matured for between 42 and 56 hours.
