The growth factors preferably include G-CSF, GM-CSF and combinations thereof. Any of the known human growth factors or combinations thereof are suitable. Also disclosed is a method for recovering an isolated, culture-expanded population of human mesenchymal stem cells from the mesenchymal stem cell-enriched peripheral blood of an individual.
