Inventors:Reiter, Robert E.; Los Angeles, CA, USA
Witte, Owen N.; Sherman Oaks, CA, USA
Raitano, Arthur B.; Los Angeles, CA, USA
Summary:Described herein is a novel prostate stem cell antigen (PSCA) protein, and uses thereof. The invention relates to PSCA, which is widely over-expressed across all stages of prostate cancer, including high grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN), androgen-dependent and androgen-independent prostate tumors. Protein fragments and their amino acid residue sequences are provided, as are therapeutic applications in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, such as in the production of vaccines or in the generation of antibodies for use in assays.
