Also described are animal cells such as stem, skin, mucosa, hepatocyte, islet, neural, cartilage, endothelial, epidermal, osteocyte and muscle cells that have been isolated from human or animal donor sperm, ovum or fertilized egg. Also provided are methods by which tissue and organ for transplantation of the immune tolerogen are selected.
